Barry Way Road Upgrade: Back Swamp Creek Culvert Works

A newly installed culvert under infrastructure.

Road upgrade works will be carried out on Barry Way starting in early May 2024 to install new replacement concrete box culverts under Barry Way at Back Swamp Creek.

These road improvements are funded by the NSW Government’s Roads to Recovery program. Work commencing on Barry Way in May 2024, weather dependant, includes:

  • Removal of the old corrugated iron culvert pipes
  • Installation of new concrete box culverts
  • Associated roadworks and traffic control measures

Construction is expected to take approximately 8–10 weeks to complete, weather permitting. During the works, changed traffic conditions will be in place including potential road closures and detours. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and follow all traffic control signage.

Every effort will be made to minimise disruptions to residents and road users during this period. However, some noise, dust and vibration are unavoidable with this type of work.

We thank residents for their patience and understanding while these important road infrastructure upgrades are carried out on Barry Way.
