As part of the Australian Government’s $1.1 billion commitment under the Natural Heritage Trust (NHT), a national network of regional delivery partners has been established.
The panel will deliver:
- environmental protection projects
- sustainable agriculture
- natural resource management across Australia.
These delivery partners form part of a whole-of-government panel. This means any Australian Government department can use the panel to deliver natural resource management services.
This funding will ensure these partners can deliver NHT outcomes by helping to:
- mitigate threats to species and landscapes
- protect World Heritage sites
- support conservation activities in Ramsar wetlands sites
- strengthen First Nations engagement and participation in on-ground projects.
The panel is key in protecting our ecosystems and reducing decline so nature can regenerate and thrive.
