In April 2020, specialist detectives from the Sex Offender Management Squad, commenced an investigation into allegations of children being stalked, groomed and threatened online, which also lead to several children being sexually assaulted.
On 30 June 2020, police charged the man with numerous sexual offences against children including Sexual Penetration without Consent, Unlawful and Indecent Assault, and Procuring Person to have Unlawful Carnal Knowledge by Administering of Drugs.
On Tuesday 14 May 2024, a 45-year-old man was sentenced to 13 years’ imprisonment in the Perth Magistrates Court.
This police operation resulted in 22 people being apprehended and charged.
