A Southern District police officer will appear in court this morning after being arrested overnight in relation to an ongoing investigation into family violence matters.
The officer will appear in court in relation to a family violence order and in relation to a restraining order involving another police officer.
As is the usual process, the officer will be stood down pending the court process.
It is not appropriate to comment further at this stage, however updates will be proactively distributed.
