Police Seek Information: Assault At Mount Isa

Detectives from the Mount Isa Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating after a man was assaulted in Mount Isa last night, May 10.

Initial investigations indicate a 50-year-old Healey man was walking along Spence Street at approximately 6.30pm, before he entered into an altercation with four other males.

During that altercation, the 50-year-old man was struck with a large knife, causing a minor laceration to his forearm.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing, and detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed it or may have information that may assist in coming forward.
