Townsville police have charged 11 offenders on 48 charges as a result of intelligence driven proactive patrols in Townsville yesterday, 30 September.
It will be alleged about 8.30am, police observed a stolen Nissan Qashqai being driven along Railway Estate.
The vehicle was tracked by Townsville Tactical Crime Squad (TTCS) officers and POLAIR before a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on Bowen Road.
The Nissan was abandoned a short time later and three people were taken into custody.
It will be further alleged about 10.30am, police tracked a stolen Toyota Corolla Cross to The Avenue in Hermit Park where two offenders attempted to flee on foot before being arrested.
It will be further alleged about 2pm, POLAIR tracked a stolen grey Toyota Hilux and blue Toyota RAV4.
The Hilux was abandoned on Riverway Drive and the RAV4 was abandoned on Dimmock Street before multiple offenders were arrested.
The coordinated response using officers from TTCS, General Duties, POLAIR and DTACC has resulted in the charging of 11 people.
A 15-year-old Rasmussen boy was charged with 12 offences including seven counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle – publish on social media, and one count each of enter premises and commit indicatable offence by break, dangerous operation of vehicle, trespass – unlawful enter or remain in dwelling or yard, possess knife in public place and driving of motor vehicle without a drivers licence.
A 27-year-old Palm Island woman was charged with seven offences including two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of possess dangerous drugs and possess tainted property.
A 19-year-old Garbutt man was charged with six offences including one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possess tainted property and possession of dangerous drugs.
A 16-year-old Douglas boy was charged with three counts of enter premises and commit break and one count each of possess by night instrument of house breaking and possess tainted property.
A 16-year-old Kirwan girl has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possession of dangerous drugs.
A 16-year-old Kirwan boy was charged with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and two counts of enter dwelling.
He is expected to appear in Townsville Childrens Court today, 1 October.
A 16-year-old Railway Estate boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter and commit.
A 27-year-old Palm Island man was charged with one count each of wilful damage and trespass.
A 21-year-old Vincent man was charged with one count each of burglary, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, stealing and possess dangerous drugs.
A 24-year-old Vincent woman was charged with one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 16-year-old Kirwan boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possess dangerous drugs.
He is expected to appear in Townsville Childrens Court today, 1 October.

Operation Yankee Forge is a district-led, statewide initiative targeting high-harm and high-volume offences, including unlawful use of motor vehicles, unlawful entry and robbery.
The operation will enhance policing activities across Queensland to reduce victim numbers and strengthen community safety.
Police regions, supported by specialist squads, will undertake coordinated disruption activities across the state. Police will target high-harm offenders and work closely with partner agencies to ensure offenders are held accountable. With a strong focus on crime prevention, police will be highly visible as they prevent, disrupt and investigate offending, with particular emphasis on unlawful use, robbery and unlawful entry.
The operation will be locally led and centrally coordinated, leveraging the knowledge and experience of officers who know their communities best.
