The MRFF’s Medical Research Commercialisation initiative will provide:
- $6.7 million for 9 projects targeting diabetes and cardiovascular disease, under the Targeted Translation Research Accelerator program
- $7.2 million for 5 projects developing new medical technology such as a ‘next generation’ condom, under the Clinical Translation and Commercialisation Medtech program.
The Genomics Health Futures Mission will provide $3 million to support the genomic sequencing of newborn babies.
