A 17-year-old has been charged with wounding following an alleged assault in Hobart on Saturday night.
A man received serious but not life threatening injuries after the teenager reportedly approached him while she was in possession of a knife.
The incident reportedly occurred in Macquarie Street about 8:45pm following a verbal altercation.
It is an offence to carry dangerous articles, including knives, in public unless people have a lawful reason to do so.
The teenager will appear in out of hours youth court this evening.
