2019 Charity Ball tickets sell out

It’s the hottest ticket in town right now, with seats at the 2019 Mayor’s Charity Ball selling out.

Mayor Anne Baker said she had been astounded and gratified by the strong community response to the 2019 gala event on Saturday 10 August.

“Last year’s event was a sell-out, but tickets this year sold like hot cakes after going on public sale,” she said.

“It’s a great show of pure people power that almost two months before the event we are fully booked.

“2018’s gala event was a real talking point among the community for months afterwards and this translated into great anticipation ahead of tickets going on public sale.

“We actually increased seating for this year’s event by close to 20% to accommodate an expected demand for tickets, but unfortunately we’ve reached absolute capacity.

“A big thank you to all our community supporters, it’s a great start for the Isaac’s night of nights.”

An audience of 350 will enjoy a stylish black-tie affair under the night sky in Moranbah’s Town Square, featuring a three-course dinner, live music and entertainment, prizes, charity auction and much more.

“2019’s ball will once again truly be a night to remember, with dancing and dining under the stars in the town centre. But we are also raising money for an important and vital cause,” Mayor Baker said.

The gala event, which is an initiative of the Isaac Regional Charity Fund, raises money for mental health initiatives in communities across the region.

“Last year’s event raised more than $40,000 for worthwhile causes which is a real show of our community spirit and the pure people power which drives our region,” Mayor Baker said.

Mayor Baker acknowledged the generous support of the event’s 2019 sponsors.

“The generous and valued support of Isaac businesses and organisations, through sponsorship and donations, plays a major part in the continuing success of the event,” Mayor Baker said.

“I thank all our sponsors for supporting this important community event.”
