The City of Casey is thrilled to announce the winners of the Casey Business Awards 2023.
Announced at a gala event on Thursday 5 October at Bunjil Place, the awards highlight excellence, innovation, and resilience in our vibrant business community.
The 2023 winners are:
- City of Casey Business of the Year 2023: Recovery In Mind Occupational Therapy
- Casey Commendation Award 2023: Thirty-eight O Six Brewing
- Customer Experience category: Atura Dandenong
- Environmental Sustainability category: Ecotrans
- Health and Wellbeing category: Recovery In Mind Occupational Therapy
- New Business category: Thirty-eight O Six Brewing
- Professional Business Services category: CFM Air Conditioning
- Small Business category: Elemental Electronics
The category award winners received a cash prize of $1,000 each, while the Casey Business of the Year received another $2,000.
City of Casey Chair of Administrators Noelene Duff PSM congratulated this year’s award winners.
“These businesses embody the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that defines Casey,” Ms Duff said. “They inspire us all with their dedication to excellence, resilience, and inclusivity. We are proud to have them as part of our thriving business community.”
Casey Business of the Year 2023 and Health and Wellbeing category winner: Recovery in Mind Occupational Therapy
Recovery In Mind Occupational Therapy was named City of Casey Business of the Year 2023. Based in Narre Warren, Recovery in Mind is a holistic occupational therapy service, designed to empower adults living with mental illness. We commend founder Bianca Parsons on the growth of the business, from sole trader to employing five staff in four years.
The business stood out because of its commitment to excellence, inclusivity, and collaboration. Initiatives include a sensory room, graduate program, collaborations with community centres, prioritising local suppliers, and plans for a community garden. It embodied the spirit of local business in the City of Casey.
Commendation Award and New Business category winner: Thirty-eight O Six Brewing
In recognition of the exceptional calibre of finalists this year, the judges of the Casey Business Awards 2023 awarded a commendation for the first time. Thirty-eight 0 Six Brewing was recognised as an exciting new business with solid growth plans. With collaboration as the cornerstone of their business model, the Berwick brewery actively seek partnerships with neighbouring venues and integrates locally sourced ingredients in their brews and culinary creations. Thirty-eight 0 Six Brewing also took home the New Business Award for offering a unique service and for being a trendsetter in the industry.
Customer Experience Award: Atura Dandenong
Atura Dandenong, a dynamic player in Casey’s hospitality industry since 2015, won the award for demonstrating exceptional growth and adaptability, providing a welcoming experience for all guests. We commend Atura for placing guest experience at the heart of everything they do, continually reinventing their business to meet changing market needs.
Environmental Sustainability Award: Ecotrans
Ecotrans, a top construction waste and site cleaning company, took home the Environmental Sustainability Award for their commitment to environmental excellence and the business acumen of its agile management team. Providing an end-to-end service, Ecotrans specialise in all aspects of construction waste recycling.
Professional Business Services Award: CFM Air Conditioning
CFM Air Conditioning won this award for their sound business model supported by ISO accreditations and strong processes and systems. We commend the business for their client-focused approach, and commitment to diversity and gender equality.
Small Business Award: Elemental Electronics
Cranbourne West based Elemental Electronics provides design solutions and manufacturing services catering to diverse industries. Supported by their team of five, they have placed innovation at the forefront of everything they do.
