Communities in the Shoalhaven are set to benefit from upgraded health facilities, following a $590,000 funding boost from the Minns Labor Government to deliver minor capital works projects.
This funding for the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD) is part of the Minns Government’s $12 million Regional Health Minor Works Program.
Delivered over two years, the program will support essential infrastructure upgrades and enhance health facilities across regional, rural and remote NSW, ensuring they continue to meet the needs of local communities and deliver high-quality care.
This investment will support ISLHD to deliver a range of projects including:
- Shoalhaven Family Care Centre, Nowra: refurbishment works to modernise the facility and expand clinical spaces, which will enhance service delivery and patient access.
- Nowra Community Health Centre: refurbishment works to reconfigure existing spaces to enhance the delivery of services and better support staff across multidisciplinary teams.
This funding builds on the Minns Labor Government’s $11.9 billion investment to deliver 32 new or upgraded hospitals as part of the 2026-27 Budget. This includes nearly $3 billion over four years for hospitals across regional NSW.
