Sunshine Coast Council

A food market featuring handcrafted cheeses, breads, chocolates and a craft beer and spirits festival on the banks of a river have been added to the program of a Sunshine Coast culinary showcase.

The MENU has just been served up for the Sunshine Coast’s premier food and drink festival, The Curated Plate, which will take place between July 26 and August 4.

The program features three signature events this year, including two brand new ones.

The Sunny Coast Breweries & Distilleries Festival will showcase “Australia’s Craft Beer Capital’ with a glorious range of craft beer and premium spirits in a relaxed festival atmosphere at Cotton Tree Park, on the banks of the Maroochy River, on July 27 and 28.

Held in partnership with national event organiser GABS, this promises to deliver an incredible day out with friends where fashion and fun meet flavour and taste, as you explore some of the best artisan drinks and foods from the Sunshine Coast.

A showcase of the Coast’s talent and produce

Sunshine Coast Council Mayor Rosanna Natoli said it was time for our cooks and chefs to shine.

Mayor Natoli said that during The Curated Plate, these culinary masters would be serving up delicious dishes, featuring homegrown produce and products.

“This event provides the opportunity for our region to showcase its fantastic offerings,” Mayor Natoli said.

“This ranges from our plentiful produce to an array of stunning restaurants and our amazing producers.

“More than 200 businesses from across the region’s food and agribusiness sector and tourism and hospitality industry have worked together to prepare the 10-day food and drink showcase that has more than 90 delicious events to choose from.”

What makes our food and drink festival different?

The Curated Plate is a 10-day event that celebrates the region’s local producers and chefs, spread over two weekends and plenty of options to feast on throughout the week.

Our food lovers can look forward to mouth-watering experiences on a farm, under the stars, by the seaside, next to a majestic mountain, on a boat, in a distillery as well as at some of the Sunshine Coast’s most well-known, well-loved and award-winning restaurants.
