Accelerator program for startups and businesses begins in 2022

Expressions of interest have opened for round two of the successful Startup Central Victoria’s next Accelerator Program which will begin in early February 2022.

The Accelerator Program is open to aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs 18 years + (individuals and teams) from central Victoria who are looking to startup or scale up a business idea. Entry will be open to early-stage founders through to those wishing to scale up to national and international markets.

The program is part of Startup Central Victoria, a City of Greater Bendigo-led initiative in collaboration with neighbouring shires to support aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs located in Greater Bendigo, Loddon, Campaspe, Mount Alexander, Central Goldfields and Macedon Ranges.

City Director Strategy and Growth Steve Hamilton said there were 15 places available and the 12 sessions were free to applicants from central Victoria.

“This program brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise for participants with three learning streams open to individuals and teams supported by experts, coaches and mentors,” Mr Hamilton said.

The free 12 hybrid evening sessions commence from the second week of February to the end of May and will be delivered by La Trobe Innovation and Entrepreneurship and their international partners. The program provides mentoring and training and has been designed to be flexible and tailored to suit participants.

The three tailored streams are:

  • Discovery – early-stage founders
  • Development – creation, testing and validation.
  • Advanced – scaling-up nationally and internationally
