Detectives have released additional CCTV as investigations continue into the kidnapping and assault of a man in Sydney’s south-west earlier this month.
Shortly before 4.20pm on Saturday 15 August 2026, emergency services were called to a business on Works Place, Milperra, following reports a man had been assaulted.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command were informed a 64-year-old man had allegedly been detained and assaulted inside the premises by several men before the group stole cash and other items and left the location.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment and was later discharged.
A crime scene was established, and Strike Force Magmaas was formed to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
As part of investigations, detectives released CCTV footage of three vehicles – a white Toyota Hilux utility, a silver Toyota Corolla sedan and white Mitsubishi Canter – that were seen in the vicinity of McGirr Street, Padstow, immediately after the incident.
Following further inquiries, detectives have released further CCTV footage of a man who they believe may assist with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance and is depicted wearing a high-visibility yellow and black hooded jumper, with black pants and black shoes.
