The Townsville Local Disaster Management Group (TLDMG) is supporting the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS) to open an additional COVID-19 testing site tomorrow (28 December) from 7am-3pm.
The three-lane drive-through testing site, to be operated by QML Pathology, will be established at carpark number three on the James Cook University campus in Douglas. At this stage, it will be open for three days.
This site is in addition to the testing site at the 1300Smiles Stadium, which has seen an increase in demand for testing from the community.
Members of the public wanting to be tested must bring photo identification and their Medicare card with them.
