As stated by Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti:

“We’re always excited to welcome more direct links into WA, which will help to boost domestic tourism and increase the number of airlines travelling this route, which of course benefits travellers.

“We always love welcoming Victorian and South Australian friends to the west coast, so this is a fantastic announcement and will no doubt be warmly welcomed by industry here.

“With world-class wineries and restaurants down south, incredible natural landscapes and attractions to enjoy during peak season up north, huge upcoming blockbuster events like the Wallabies vs Springboks, UFC, and of course weekly AFL matches, there’s so much to see, do and enjoy in WA.

“It’s been a very busy couple of years in the aviation space for our State, with 20 new or relaunched non-stop international flights to Perth secured by our Government since borders reopened, and of course, more direct flights launched from the eastern states into our South West region.”
