The Adelaide International 2024 drew 51,117 attendees at The Drive, making it the highest attendance record for a single week event since 2020.

World class tennis was served with world No.23 Jiri Lehecka from Czech Republic taking out the men’s singles title.

Jelena Ostapenko captured her seventh career title at the Adelaide International, defeating No.15 Daria Kasatkina 6-3, 6-2 in Saturday’s final.

The doubles also delivered world class action with Rajeev Ram and Joe Salisbury winning the men’s doubles title at the 2024 Adelaide International, defeating Rohan Bopanna and Matthew Ebden in the final, 7-5, 5-7, [11-9].

The women’s doubles title was taken out by Beatriz Haddad Maia and Taylor Townsend defeating Caroline Garcia and Kristina Mladenovic in the final, 7-5, 6-3.

Fans flocked to The Drive over the six days of the tournament which smashed records on and off the court.

The expanded event footprint in Pinky Flat added to the event experience and proved a winner with the fans off court and prompted record day one attendance.

The Kids Day addition has been about encouraging fans to not only enjoy world class tennis but entertainment around the tennis, having a fun day out with families and friends.

In her inaugural year as Tournament Director, Alicia Molik has been thrilled with the support the event has received not only from the fans through the gates but the players and their teams.

Minister for Tourism, Zoe Bettison said the Adelaide International led the way of what is expected to be a very busy year for the tourism and hospitality industry.

“The Adelaide International is a blockbuster on our state’s events calendar and the record attendance this year is testament to that,” Minister Bettison said.

“Under Alicia’s leadership and experience, this year’s event offered first class competition to the players but also a jam-packed program off court which gave fans a true tennis festival experience.

“It is fantastic to see such strong results for this wonderful event which brings visitors into the city and showcases our state-of-the-art facilities around the world.

“Tennis fans love the action at The Drive and this year, they’ve voted with their feet!”

Adelaide International Tournament Director, Alicia Molik said there is a huge appetite for world class tennis in this state.

“The fans have spoken; they love tennis and the experience at The Drive,” Ms Molik said.

“The players love competing here in Adelaide, the environment space and ease of the Adelaide International continue to be the common thread when speaking with the playing group. There is nowhere else they would rather be.”
