Adventure Park DA under consideration

Kempsey Shire Council

The Macleay Valley Recreation Adventure Park Development Application will be considered by the Northern Region Planning Panel on Wednesday 12 July.

The NSW Government introduced regional planning panels in 2009 to strengthen decision-making for regionally significant development applications and other planning matters. Each panel is an independent body that is not subject to the direction of the Minister for Planning.

The Northern Region Planning Panel has determined that this will be a closed session for the following reasons:

“As Kempsey Shire Council received less than ten unique objections for this DA, the Northern Regional Planning Panel will not hold a public meeting. Submitters have also been invited to brief the Panel. This is separate to the applicant briefing. Both briefings are by invitation only.”

Information on the application including the DA Assessment report, draft conditions and architectural plans can be viewed on the NSW Government’s Department of Planning website.

Council will provide updates on the outcome of the meeting and the project.
