AFLW returns to Victoria Park for 2020 season

Collingwood is swooping in for their fourth consecutive season, but Collingwood Football Club’s Maddie Shevlin and Chloe Molloy still had time to join some young footy fans for a kick and a chat at Victoria Park.

Yarra’s footy favourites, Collingwood and Richmond football clubs, are all set for a ripper season this year.

Our very own Victoria Park will be hosting two games, and entry is free!

  • Sunday February 9: Collingwood FC v West Coast Eagles. First bounce 1.10pm
  • Sunday March 22: Collingwood FC v St Kilda. First bounce 6.10pm

Bring the kids, jump on the train, pack some pie money and get behind your favourite team this AFLW season.

Getting to the ground

Car parking is limited, but the train station is just a short kick away, and is probably the easiest way to get to the game. There are lots of bike paths nearby, too. Please lock your bike outside the ground, and away from spectator areas, so that people can still move around easily.

Don’t BYO alcohol

AFLW games are licensed events, just like AFL games. You will be able to buy alcohol there, but you can’t bring your own.

Leave your dog at home

Please don’t bring your pooch – even if they’re the most one-eyed pies fan this side of Smith Street. Assistance animals are allowed.

Access to Victoria Park

On game days, some parts of the ground may be closed to the public while the grounds are prepared. To maintain as much access as possible to Victoria Park for our community, the playing surface will only be closed to the public on the day on the game, until the final siren when play ends.
