The Northern Territory Police Force is investigating an aggravated burglary that occurred yesterday afternoon in Alice Springs.
Around 3:30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an aggravated burglary at a residence on the Ross Highway in Ross.
It is alleged up to six males unlawfully entered the residence armed with edged weapons and threatened the occupant. The offenders allegedly stole alcohol and slashed a tyre of a vehicle parked at the residence before fleeing the scene in an unknown vehicle.
Police attended and a crime scene was established. The victim was uninjured.
Following investigations, two male offenders were arrested in East Side around 9:30pm last night after tyre deflation devices were successfully deployed on the vehicle they were travelling in. They remain in police custody and investigations are ongoing to locate the outstanding offenders.
