Airbus announces civil helicopter MRO partners for Pacific region

Airbus Helicopters has announced Australia-based Pacific Crown Helicopters and John Cameron Aviation as maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) partners, joining New Zealand operators Airwork NZ and Heli Support NZ

Airbus Australia Pacific’s Managing Director Andrew Mathewson said the appointment of these well-established and professional MRO providers were a valuable extension of the Airbus brand in the region. He highlighted that the appointment of the MRO partners provided the owners and operators of Airbus Helicopters in the region with an extended network of completion and customisation options, and new service options.

“After a rigorous selection criteria, together with the history of safety and airworthiness, these MRO partners will provide customers with a high level of confidence and customer service they have come to expect from the Airbus brand. I’m delighted to welcome them to our Airbus family,” said Andrew Mathewson.

“Airbus would continue to seek out and approve existing maintenance centres as authorised Airbus repair centres throughout Australia and New Zealand. We are currently working closely with organisations located in Victoria and Western Australia, with a view to appoint them and further expand the MRO network,” Mathewson added.

Reflecting the growth in sales, Airbus has also recently appointed an additional Technical Representative in the South Island of New Zealand. This service will augment the existing four Technical Representatives in the region in order to provide real time support and proximity to the growing customer base.
