Aitkenvale Library closed for refurbishments

Townsville City Council is refurbishing the Aitkenvale Library from today.

Aitkenvale Library is closed while the works are completed and will re-open on Monday 18 March.

Community and Cultural Development Committee Chair Cr Colleen Doyle said residents can visit Council’s other libraries while the upgrades are completed.

“Our libraries are a fantastic community space and these refurbishments will keep it nice for everyone who visits Aitkenvale,” Cr Doyle said.

“The Thuringowa and Flinders Street libraries are still open and running regular programs for anyone that would like to access them.

“Council also has an eLibrary that is free to access and has books, audiobooks, magazines, comics and movies available 24/7.”
