Alert to Perth motorists – fill up now to beat the petrol price rise

Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow.

Motorists in Perth and Mandurah are advised to fill up now if they need to, with petrol prices set to rise tomorrow. Drivers are also urged to only purchase the fuel they need to fill their vehicles, not to stockpile.

FuelWatch reports that, from 6am tomorrow (Wednesday 14 October 2026), the average price of Perth’s regular unleaded petrol (ULP) will increase by 10 cents per litre (cpl) to 245.4 cpl, with BP hiking by up to 259.9 cpl; Caltex up to 255.9 cpl; EG Ampol and 7-Eleven up to 253.9 cpl; and Ampol up to 249.9 cpl.

Despite the average hike tomorrow, there are still 31 individual sites offering ULP below 230 cpl, so consumers should check the FuelWatch website to find the lowest price near them. Buying fuel from the cheapest site rather than the most expensive, a difference of 42 cpl, means motorists can potentially save $25 on a 60-litre tank.

Tuesday’s cheapest ULP is available for:

  • 225.9 cpl at Ampol Foodary High Wycombe, Ampol Foodary Midvale, Ampol Foodary Stratton and EG Ampol Brabham in the East;
  • 225.9 cpl at 34 sites in the South; and
  • 223.3 cpl at Burk Alkimos in the North.

Wednesday’s cheapest ULP will be available for:

  • 225.5 cpl at Shell High Wycombe in the East;
  • 225.5 cpl at Liberty Beckenham, Liberty East Rockingham, Liberty Gosnells and Liberty O’Connor in the South; and
  • 223.2 cpl at Vibe Wanneroo in the North.
