A man can expect to front court after he was busted driving almost double the speed limit in Kew this morning.
Fitzroy officers were shocked when they detected a BMW Z4 coupe allegedly travelling at 195km/h on the Eastern Freeway about 1.30am.
Police intercepted the driver, a 28-year-old man, and impounded his vehicle for 30 days at a cost of $896.10.
The man is also expected to be charged on summons with a number of offences including speed dangerous and exceed speed limit by 45km/h or more.
He will appear before a Magistrate at a later date.
