One of only seven Australian Army bands, providing musical support to the Army Recruit Training Centre and Riverina community, this full-time military band has been serving the Army Recruit Training Centre since 1952.

Originally a brass band with 12 members, the unit has grown in reputation and now boasts 22 musicians performing on brass, woodwind and rhythm section instruments.

With marching, stage and rock bands, as well as a jazz ensemble and brass and saxophone groups, the Australian Army Band Kapooka caters for all musical tastes.
