Animal Welfare League NSW to offer mobile Vet Services

The Animal Welfare League NSW will be coming to Griffith with their Animal Care Truck to offer Mobile Vet Services on Tuesday, 15 August 2023.

This venture is funded through the NSW State Government and the Animal Welfare Leagues aim is to visit multiple NSW regional communities to provide vaccinations, microchipping, and health checks for all companion animals within those communities.

In addition, they aim to assist pet owners with their pet’s ongoing health and enhance their animal care awareness. The Animal Welfare League NSW is collaborating with Griffith City Council and our Local Veterinary Centres to create better responsible pet ownership outcomes across our Local Government Area.

Griffith Pet owners are encouraged to attend the event to take advantage of the Mobile Vet Services on offer, which include:

• Free heath checks

• Free microchipping

• Free dog c3 vaccinations

• Free cat f3 vaccinations

Due to the expected high demand, we ask Pet owners to abide by the following:

• Maximum of 3 animals per household

• Cats must be in carriers

• Dog must be on a lead

• Please ensure you bring a mobile device with you to sign in

• Be patient and prepared for weather as waiting lines can be long

The event will be held at the Griffith Showgrounds, Murrumbidgee Avenue, Griffith on Tuesday 15 August 2023 between 9am to 1pm.

Griffith Pound & Rehoming Centre staff advise that microchipping, vaccination, desexing and health checks are key to responsible pet ownership and reducing the burden on our Pound & Rehoming Centre and our affiliated Rescue Groups.
