The results are in from the Victorian Government’s state-wide Local Government 2022 Community Satisfaction Survey, and we are pleased to report that our Council has achieved an index score of 71 on ‘Overall Performance’ this year. This places Boroondara in the top-performing councils at both the metro and state-wide levels.
Our top performing service areas are appearance of public areas, recreational facilities and waste management.
As per the results, community decisions and consultation and engagement will be key areas for us to focus on as they are becoming more important to the wider community.
In 2021, we developed Boroondara’s third response to climate change by adopting the Climate Action Plan to assist Council and our community in reducing carbon emissions and to achieve carbon neutrality. It is pleasing to see the community is highly supportive of the plan.
