The Royal Hospital for Women will receive $50,000 from the Minns Labor Government to support the vital work of the hospital.
Minister for Health Ryan Park today announcing the funding as part of the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation’s annual Giving Day. Giving Day, supports the vital work of the hospital by raising funds for specialised equipment, research and new programs. Every dollar raised and invested helps the hospital to deliver world’s best care to women and newborn babies.
Giving Day recognises the important role community plays in supporting and partnering with the Royal Hospital for Women. The collaboration of philanthropy and public health helps to fast-track the implementation of new technologies and models of care.
The first Giving Day was held in 2021, and since its inception over $750,000 has been raised. This year, the Royal Hospital for Women Foundation is celebrating its 30th anniversary. The breakthroughs in care for women and newborns that have been achieved during that time are a testament to the support of the community.
The Royal Hospital for Women is one of Australia’s foremost specialist hospitals for women and babies. The main areas of specialisation include breast care, gynaecology, gynaecological oncology, maternity, maternal foetal medicine, menopause, newborn intensive care and reproductive medicine.
