Annual road resealing and rehabilitation underway

Mitchell Shire Council’s 2020/21 road resealing and rehabilitation program on more than 30 roads is about to ramp up.

Each year, Council contractors undertake a blitz of works to maintain and service the more than 1400km of council-managed roads.

Council currently manages 689km of sealed roads and 718km of unsealed roads. The annual road resealing and rehabilitation program seeks to keep the community’s roads safe and manageable.

Council invested $3.3 million into the program through its 2020/21 Budget. A list of roads due to have works undertaken is below.

The Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery Grant program will also assist in providing $1.175 million to assist in the works undertaken on Broadford-Wandong Road, Willowmavin Road, School House Lane, Hilldene, and High Street in Seymour.

Please be aware there will be minor delays at the above locations as works are underway with traffic management in place.

If you would like to inform Council of a road that you think should be part of this program, please use the Report It tool.
