Next week on Tuesday 25 April we will pause to mark ANZAC Day and reflect on Australian service men and women, their sacrifice in defence of the nation, as well as all those who suffer the consequences of war both past and present.
There are a number of services within and close to Stonnington.
Shrine of Remembrance
The Melbourne Dawn Service at the Shrine of Remembrance will take place from 5.30am and will be livestreamed on the Shrine’s official webpage, Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Live coverage of the Dawn Service will also be broadcast on ABC Radio Victoria from 6 – 6.30am.
Following the Dawn Service, the ANZAC Day march to the Shrine will take place from 9.00am, concluding with the Commemorative Service. This will be broadcast live on ABC TV.
This years’ service will not require any tickets or bookings to attend.
Local ANZAC Day activities
East Malvern RSL will host a Dawn Service from 6.00am on Tuesday 25 April, followed by a traditional gunfire breakfast at approximately 7.30am. Entry for the breakfast will be a gold coin donation.

Prahran RSL will also be hosting a weekend service from 10.40 – 11.40am on Sunday 23 April.
