Appeal after alleged attempted sexual assault in Bondi – Strike Force Hapgood

Police are appealing for public assistance after an alleged attempted sexual assault in Sydney’s east.

Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command have been told about 3.40am (Friday 17 March 2023), a woman was approached by man who allegedly attempted to sexually assault her on Mitchell Street, Bondi.

Strike Force Hapgood has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV and a description of a man who may be able to assist with the investigation.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 30 years old, approximately 175cm tall, of muscular build, with dark hair, dark eyes and a short beard.

The man was wearing denim shorts and a white short-sleeved polo shirt.
