Appeal after armed robbery at Scone, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in the Hunter region.

About 8.50pm (Monday 16 November 2020), an unknown male threatened a 19-year-old employee with a long piece of wood with a knife blade strapped to the end, at a fast food outlet on Kelly Street, Scone.

Police have been told the male stole a small amount of cash before leaving the scene. The employee was not harmed.

Officers attached to Hunter Valley Police District attended and commenced an investigation

As inquiries continue, police have released a description of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The man is described as being about 175cm tall, with a slim build. His face was partially covered by a black and white bandana.

At the time he was wearing sunglasses, a blue baseball cap, red and black hooded jacket, dark pants and dark shoes.
