Appeal after armed robbery at service station at Dubbo, NSW

Police are appealing for the public’s assistance after an armed robbery at a service station in Dubbo yesterday.

About 9.10pm (Tuesday 14 September 2021), a staff member – a 46-year-old man – was leaving the service station on Windsor Road, Dubbo, when he was approached by three males with their faces covered, one armed with a knife.

The group pushed the man back into the store and demanded cash and the man’s car key.

They stole more than $350 dollars from the store and the man’s car key and electronics.

The group met a fourth person outside the service station before fleeing in the man’s silver Ford Falcon. He was not injured.

Officers from Orana Mid-Western Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation. The man’s electronic devices were discovered nearby and were seized for forensic examination.

About 3am today (Wednesday 15 September 2021), emergency services located the stolen car on fire in St Georges Terrace, Dubbo.
