Appeal after armed robbery in Roselands

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Roselands overnight.

About 3am (Tuesday 8 September 2020), emergency services were called to a service station on Canterbury Road after receiving reports of a robbery.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended and were told an unknown man armed with a shortened 22 rifle threatened an employee before leaving the scene with a sum of money.

He was last seen running towards King Georges Road.

The employee, a 21-year-old man was uninjured during the robbery.

A crime scene was established and as inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being as being 175cm to 180cm tall, of a large build, wearing a blue, white and black hoodie, black trackpants, with white sneakers.
