Appeal after armed robbery in Sydney CBD

Police have released CCTV images and are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in the Sydney’s CBD last month.

About 9:45am on Thursday 22 October 2020, a man entered a licensed premises on George Street, Sydney, and produced a knife, threatening a 36-year-old male employee.

Police have been told the man stole a sum of cash before fleeing.

The employee was not physically injured and notified police.

Officers attached to the Sydney City Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

As inquires continue, investigators have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist.

The man depicted is described as being of South American appearance, about 165 – 170 cm tall, aged in his 30s, of medium build, with a dark-haired moustache and goatee.

He is shown wearing a long sleeved light blue shirt, denim jeans, sneakers, a white cap, and is carrying a red bag.
