Appeal after e-bicycle rider seriously injured in Tregear

Police are appealing for information after an e-bicycle rider was seriously injured in Sydney’s west overnight.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Ellsworth and Aurora Drive, Tregear, just before 11pm (Wednesday 30 November 2022), after reports an e-bicycle rider was found with serious injuries.

Police have been told a motorist located the man trapped under his e-bicycle on the roadway.

He sustained serious head injuries and was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, then taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Mt Druitt Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was subsequently examined by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

As inquiries continue, police would like to speak with the driver a dark coloured SUV who may have been travelling along Ellsworth Drive, near the intersection of Aurora Drive, shortly before the incident.
