Appeal after firearms stolen during break-in at Boggabilla, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after firearms were stolen during a break and enter in the state’s far north.

About 1.30pm yesterday (Tuesday 14 December 2021), a report was made to officers attached to New England Police District that a number of firearms were stolen from a property on Lowes Road, Boggabilla, on Wednesday 1 December 2021.

Police have been told eleven rifles and three shotguns were stolen from a safe at the home.

Officers established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police, and have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

As part of inquiries, police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or suspicious activity in the area – or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area during the mentioned period – to contact Boggabilla Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
