Appeal after sexual touching in Haymarket

Police are appealing for public assistance after a sexual touching incident in Haymarket last September.

About 2.30am (Thursday 24 September 2022), police were told a man sat next to a 23-year-old woman on a bench at Railway Square, Haymarket and sexually touched her.

The man then left, getting onto a bus heading for Cronulla.

The woman reported the incident to officers attached to the Police Transport Command Central who commenced an investigation.

As inquiries continue, police have released an image of a man who may be able to assist.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between his 40 – 50’s, of slim build, with long dark hair and wearing glasses.

He is depicted wearing a black hoodie underneath a black leather jacket, black jeans and black shoes.
