Appeal as investigations continue into robbery at Liverpool, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a robbery in Sydney’s south- west last month.

On Saturday 13 August 2022, officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command commenced an investigation after reports of an assault and robbery outside an apartment building on Goulburn Street, Liverpool, about 8.30pm.

Police were told a 36-year-old man was assaulted by two unknown men outside the building, with a glass bottle and metal spanner. He suffered facial injuries.

The man’s pink Simpsons ‘Mr Sparkle’ backpack and other personal belongings were stolen before the unknown men fled inside the building.

As inquiries continue, investigators have released descriptions and are appealing for public assistance to identify two men who may be able assist with their inquiries.

The first man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 20s or 30s and of thin build. He was wearing a mask or bandana covering his face, a brown hooded jumper and light-coloured pants.

The second man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his 20s or 30s, of thin build, with short brown hair and patchy facial hair.
