Appeal for assistance after delivery driver robbed at knife point at Tamworth, NSW

Police are appealing for information after a fast food delivery driver was robbed at knife point in the state’s northeast.

About 8.30pm on Saturday (26 October 2019), the delivery driver attended an address on Stewart Avenue at Tamworth to deliver a pizza order.

As the driver, a man aged 46, exited his vehicle it is alleged he was forced to the ground by two unknown men in possession of a knife.

The men left the scene with the pizzas and were last seen running across Stewart Avenue towards Old Gunnedah Road.

The delivery driver was not injured.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified and commenced inquiries.

Police wish to speak with two men described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander in appearance, approximately 16 to 17 years old, wearing baseball caps. One male is described as having a small moustache.
