Appeal for assistance – Burglary

Detectives investigating an incident in which a man allegedly behaved inappropriately and forced entry into a dwelling in Kelvin Grove have released images of a man who may be able to assist them with their investigations.

Police allege that at 12:15am this morning August 11, the man was sighted on CCTV in the rear yard of a premises on Rusden Street.

The man allegedly removed property from a clothesline and afterwards gained entry to the dwelling. He has left the scene after being disturbed by the occupant, running towards Kelvin Grove Road.

The man is described as between 22 and 30 years old, Caucasian in appearance with a fair complexion, slim build, long dark hair pulled back into a loose bun and a dark scruffy beard.

He was wearing a red and white flannelette shirt, over a branded t-shirt, black long pants and sneakers.

Police are urging anyone who knows the man, or who saw or heard anything or who has vision of the man on Kelvin Grove Road, Rusden Street or Victoria Street between 11:45pm and 3am to contact them.

The occupant was not physically harmed.
