Appeal for assistance to locate elderly man in Belmore

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly man missing from the Campsie area.

Ronald Bignold, aged 85, left his Norma Avenue Belmore home about 2.30pm on Thursday 2 February 2023, with the intention of attending a doctor’s appointment.

When Ronald failed to make the appointment and did not return home, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his disappearance being out of character.

Ronald is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of thin build, between 160-170cm tall, with short white/greying hair, fair complexion and brown eyes.

He was driving a blue 1998 Toyota Corolla sedan with NSW registration VFP149.
