Appeal for CCTV or dashcam footage after street robbery, assault, NSW

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was robbed and assaulted in Sydney’s south west last week.

A man was walking along Englorie Park Drive and Heritage Way, Glen Alpine, about 5.30am last Friday (17 December 2021), when he was approached by an unknown man who took his mobile phone.

The man was able to take his phone back and he ran away.

A short time later, the man was punched and robbed of his laptop and mobile phone by two men who’d exited a dark-coloured car. Police believe one of the men was the same person who’d made the initial approach.

The 23-year-old man suffered two broken ribs, facial bruising and swelling.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command have commenced an investigation and are appealing for the public’s help to identify the men.

The two men are described as being of Caucasian in appearance, wearing black beanies, black gloves and face masks. The car is described only as dark coloured.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage between 5am and 6am to contact Campbelltown Police Station on 9605 0499.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence. The public is reminded not to report information via NSW Police social media pages.
