Police are appealing for information after shots were fired at a vehicle in the state’s Far West last week.
In August 2026, detectives attached to Barrier Police District commenced an investigation following reports shots had been fired at a vehicle in Broken Hill.
Police were told two firearm rounds had been fired into the window of a vehicle – which had been parked on Newton Street, Broken Hill, near Creedon Street – about 10.30pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
No injuries were reported; the damaged vehicle was seized for forensic examination.
Investigations into the incident are underway under Strike Force Pinnac, and police are seeking assistance from members of the public who may have information in relation to the incident.
