Appeal for information after suspicious fire – Penrith

Detectives are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at a business in Sydney’s west earlier this year.

About 4am on Thursday 12 March 2026, emergency services were called to the business on the Caloola Avenue, Penrith, following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze.

Officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances of the fire.

As inquiries continue, detectives are releasing CCTV footage of the incident and wish to speak with a man seen in the area at the time of the fire.

The man was last seen wearing a black jacket, black trackpants, black and white shoes, and a black and silver cap.
