Appeal for witnesses to serious-injury crash in Carlingford

Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage that could assist in the investigation into a serious-injury crash on Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford, on Tuesday.

About 4.55pm (Tuesday 1 January 2019), a westbound Toyota Corolla and an eastbound Mazda CX-5 collided on Pennant Hills Road, Carlingford.

The driver of the Corolla, a 21-year-old man, and his front-seat passenger, a 21-year-old woman, suffered abdominal injuries.

The driver of the CX-5, a 32-year-old man, suffered internal injuries requiring surgery. A 32-year-old woman, who was in the rear seat, suffered a severe facial laceration which will require surgery.

Another back-seat passenger, a two-month old girl, suffered minor face and arm lacerations.

Police from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit attended and conducted inquiries.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage that could assist the inquiry, to come forward.
