Appeal – pedestrian struck by car in Buccan, QLD

Forensic Crash investigators are seeking witnesses to a serious crash involving a car and pedestrian in Buccan overnight where a 21-year-old man was left with critical injuries.

Early investigations suggest the man was struck by a white Kia Cerato on Waterford Tamborine Road, close to the intersection of Acton Street, Buccan around 2.20am.

The Springwood man was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The driver, a 31-year-old woman, was not physically injured and stopped to help the man and alerted emergency services.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have seen the man walking northbound on Waterford Tamborine Road to come forward.

As well, witnesses to the crash with or without dashcam footage and those who rendered assistance to the man are asked to contact police. Investigations are ongoing
