Appeal to locate man wanted on outstanding warrant

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

River Jordan, also known as Daniel Dowdy, aged 32, is wanted by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant relating to the destruction and removal of his ankle monitor.

Detectives attached to Sex Crimes Squad Child Protection Register have commenced inquiries into his whereabouts and believe he may be in the Chippendale or Newtown areas.

As inquiries to locate River continue, detectives have released an image of his last sighting at Newtown Railway Station on Saturday 9 March 2024.

River is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 170cm and 175cm tall, of medium build with short brown hair and brown eyes. He has a tattoo of a star on the inside of his right forearm.

He was last seen wearing black jeans, and dark grey t-shirt with a red logo, sneakers and a black hat.

River is known to frequent the suburbs of Burwood, Newtown, Parramatta, Caringbah and the Sydney CBD, where police believe he could be spending time in shopping centres and public toilets.
