Police are appealing for public assistance to locate missing elderly couple from the states north.
Jill, aged 90, and Idwall Richards, aged 96, were last seen at a home on Terranora Road, Banora Point, about 11am yesterday (Saturday 26 September 2026).
When neither could be located or contacted, officers attached to Tweed/ Byron Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into their whereabouts.
Police and family hold serious concerns for both Idwall and Jill’s welfare, as they live with dementia and require medications.
Idwall is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 170cm tall, of medium build, and with short grey hair.
Jill is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall, of slim build, with short white/purple hair.
They are both believed to be travelling in a light blue 2015 Subaru Forester Station wagon with NSW registration ‘DBB25B’.
Following inquiries, police believe they may have been in the vicinity of the Coolangatta & Tweed Heads Golf Club on Soorley Street, Tweed Heads South, about 1.54pm yesterday.
