Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing man last seen in Surry Hills.
Jeffrey Felix Lai, aged 30, was last seen leaving a hospital on Chalmers Street, Surry Hills, about 1.30pm today (Tuesday 22 September 2026).
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold concerns for Jeffrey’s welfare as he lives with a number of significant health conditions that require regular medical treatment.
He is described as being of Asian appearance, between 160cm – 170cm tall, of thin build, with short black hair.
Jeffrey was last seen wearing red reading glasses, a navy-blue jacket and beige pants.
Police believe Jeffrey may still be walking around the Surry Hills and nearby areas.
